For Billers (Businesses)

How do I start receiving payments via TC Pay?

You must register with TC Pay. Once your application is approved, you’ll receive a unique biller code.

What is the biller code used for?

Your biller code is used on all your invoices, payment links, and barcodes. It links all incoming payments directly to your account.

How will I receive the money paid by my customers?

Funds are settled into your nominated business bank account. Settlement frequency is based on your agreement (daily or weekly).

How do I track payments and customers?

You’ll get access to a secure online dashboard to track transactions, download reports, and manage your billing.

Can I refer another business to TC Pay?

Yes. You can refer any business that receives recurring monthly payments (e.g. subscriptions, school fees, loan repayments, insurance premiums)

For Customers (Payers)

Do I need to register with TC Pay to make a payment?

No. You don’t need to register. You just need the correct business name and reference number.

Where can I make a payment?

You can pay at the till point of:

  • Shoprite
  • Checkers
  • Pick n Pay
  • Boxer
  • Spar
  • PEP
  • Game
  • Makro

Or pay digitally via card or EFT on our website/app.

How do I know I’m paying the correct company?

Always confirm the company name on the till slip before paying. If you’re unsure, use an invoice or payment link instead of entering a code heard over the phone. That helps avoid errors.

What should I take to the store when paying?

Bring the invoice, barcode, or payment reference provided to you by the business.

What if I enter the wrong reference number?

Your payment may go to the wrong account. Always double-check the business name and reference at the till point. If in doubt, contact the business directly.
